Example of Product Proposal
Product
Proposal
1.
What
will you make to apply your learning? Describe
how you will set up or create your product. Reminder: Please work on transforming your
research into something that answers your one big question. This is not just a
summary of all your research.
I am doing a project on manatees.
My one big question is why are manatees endangered? I will build a working
model of a manatee habitat where I show all the different environmental
pollutants and dangers for the manatee. I will have a boat, a factory, a sun
for global warming, red water for red tide, fish hooks and a crab net. I will make a script explaining each part. I will then film it. My film will show each
part that is a danger to manatees and I will talk overtop about what the danger
is and why. I will include a pie graph
about the percent of manatees killed by different things and a bar graph about
the number of manatees at different years. I will film this. I will take all my
video clips and put them on Movie Maker. I will edit my film so it has a title
and credits. I want to post my movie to Youtube so other people can learn about
it.
2.
I
need these materials to create my product (include specific computer programs
if needed). Please list where you will get each item. Items brought from home
should be at school for each day where you are set to work on your product.

Beth can provide: cardboard, white paper, computer
use (may be in groups), coloured pencils and markers.
3. I will show my science or socials
learning goal in this way:
I am making a pie graphs on
Microsoft Excel for the percentage of manatees that die in each way and a bar
graph to show how many manatees are in the wild every decade for the last 50
years.
