Project Learning Goals, Reflection and Self-Assessment

Task

Format: 1+ paragraphs (5 or more sentences).
Topic: Explain how you met your learning goal that you choose from Socials or Science in your project. Each partner needs to submit his or her own paragraph.
Audience: This paragraph will be give to Beth to help assess if you pass the Socials or Science goal. It will be passed on to your Socials and Science teacher so she can also see you met the learning goal. This mark will be added to your course mark for Socials or Science.

Please write a paragraph describing how you met your learning goal that you choose from Socials or Science. This was the list you chose from.

Socials
1.     Discuss how societies preserve identity
2.     Discuss how societies pass on their culture or display their culture worldwide
3.     Discuss how societies deal with change
4.     Understand the tension between individual rights and the responsibilities of citizens
5.     Describe the impact of new technology and science on a culture
6.     Look at the changes to how people work in cities and the country

Science
1.       Demonstrate ethical, responsible, cooperative behaviour
2.       Look at the relationship between scientific principles and technology
3.       Perform experiments using the scientific method
4.       Use graphs to represent information
5.       Demonstrate scientific literacy by being able to comprehend and evaluate science-related material
6.       Demonstrate scientific literacy by being able to explain how science and technology affect individuals, society, and the environment

Some students have not met the learning goal yet and need to develop this too! If you are unsure if you met the learning goal, please see Beth. Please hand in your paragraph. Your paragraph and my assessment will be give to your socials or science teacher so they can add it to their marks for you.
